A costume fun triathlon is such a great idea for beginners that’s why we signed up immediately after hearing the registration was open for the UPLB Trantados Fun Triathlon last month. It is an annual event for beginner triathletes, although I actually just participated as a relay team with my awesome Disney Princesses.
I came as Princess Jasmine from Aladdin or a belly dancer. Whichever works. My friends dressed up as Pocahontas and Ariel from the Little Mermaid.
So, here are some costume ideas from the event that might help you this Halloween:
These Angry bird beanies are sold here for Php 170 and up.
Whoa. These guys totally stirred the 80′s child in me. These Contra costumes are easy enough to make, just add those abs for details.
A nice blazer, mask and a flag can easily turn you into a zombie from Plants vs. Zombies.
That zombie better be careful with the badassery that this Peashooter has, also from the game Plants vs. Zombies.
Gowns. What a better way to use that gown you thought you’d wear only once than a Halloween party… or a triathlon?
A gray afro wig plus a sparkly body hugging gown equals Tina Turner. Also, that’s “Coach Rio” posing with our ladyboy – whoever thought of cosplaying as the famous running icon gets three thumbs up from me (yes, I have an extra thumb, down there)!
Strut your stuff in a balloon gown, tiara and a sash and you can pull off being Miss Universe in a triathlon. Trust me, running in a dress is serious business. Hello, Ms. Angola!
If you don’t have a gown, a bathrobe can cut it. Just make sure you add the little details like a shower cap and a plastic basket with all your toiletries.
This Supergirl costume can be bought at the children’s section at a department store. If you’re sized like a normal adult, better get your own seamstress to do this for you. Get knee-high boots and just stick red felt paper on them for the footwear.
If Supergirl and Darna were to face off, Darna would win hands down. See those pecs! Support your local superheroes!
Being Ultimate Warrior can be easy to pull off – even without the abs. Those are just white boots with colored paper. Sorry, we just can’t help doing an action shoot with THE ultimate wrestler!
Wow. He’s just so spot on with the belly there as Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles. Nicely done, sir!
My favorite costume for the whole event is definitely this Patrick Starfish costume from Spongebob Squarepants. Who the hell can beat Patrick Starfish on a bike?
There were, of course, a bunch of other awesome costumes, but my photos of them are blurred. So, what are your costume ideas this Halloween? Don’t tell me para surprise. LOL
